About Me
Eco-Art Activist: Creating for Ecological Awareness.
I'm an artist passionate about using my creative expression to celebrate the beauty of nature and advocate for ecological sustainability. Nature has always captivated me. It has served as my greatest muse and a guiding force throughout my artistic journey.
Through sculpture, painting, and photography, I strive to capture the essence of animals and landscapes, offering intimate perspectives that highlight the wonder and fragility of the natural world. My deep connection with nature began in childhood and grew into a lifelong commitment to environmental advocacy. The more I’ve learned about the state of our planet’s ecosystems, the more urgently I’ve felt the need to respond to the ongoing ecological destruction. This concern has become a driving force behind my desire to use art as a tool for conservation and awareness.
In my sculptural work, I draw inspiration from Classical and Greco-Roman figurative sculptures, reimagining iconic poses by replacing human figures with endangered species. My goal is to shift the appreciation typically reserved for these historic forms toward the increasingly vulnerable creatures we share the planet with. Influences such as Robert Wyland, Thomas Medicus, and Gillie and Marc have demonstrated how art and environmental activism can intertwine powerfully, and I aim to follow in their footsteps.
After earning my Master’s Degree in Sculpture and Exhibition Design from SUNY Oswego, I moved to Buffalo, New York. I now work as an Exhibit Technician at the Buffalo Museum of Science, where a focus on extinction science and ecological sustainability aligns perfectly with my artistic mission. This role offers me a wealth of resources and inspiration as I continue to explore ways to make a meaningful impact through my art.
