About Me

An Eco-Art Activist, Using Sculpture to Raise Awareness for Ecological Sustainability.

I am a sculptor and photographer who strives to use my art to show the beauty of nature and bring awareness to ecological conservation. I have always been interested in nature as a subject matter, and throughout my career, it has served as my primary source of inspiration.

My photography consists primarily of animals and landscapes. This often up-close view of animals initially attracted me to ecological conservation. My research on the current state of the world's ecosystems led me to realize the potential of a sixth mass extinction event, including the devastating effects of industrialization, deforestation, and many more harmful practices. I realized during this research that I wanted to aid conservation efforts through the use of my sculptures.

Referencing Classical and Greco-roman figurative sculptures, I mimic those poses with endangered animal species to borrow the attention given to the originals and give it to the different species. Inspired by artists like Robert Wyland, Thomas Medicus, and Gillie and Marc, who use their art to help fund conservation efforts, I strive to do the same with my work.

Currently, I am finishing my Master’s Degree in Sculpture and Exhibition Design at SUNY Oswego. I am also a Graduate Gallery Assistant at the Tyler Art Gallery on SUNY Oswego’s campus to prepare for a future career working in art galleries and museums.
